Job Description

We are looking to expand our current buildings team in New Zealand and interested in applications from UK & International based Hydraulics and Public Health Engineers, with experience in buildings and hospital projects who are interested in relocating to New Zealand.

Our Auckland Building’s team includes engineers in the primary disciplines of Building Services, Building Sciences, Sustainability, Structural and Façade engineering.

The team delivers projects regionally and contributes to the Group’s growth in the ANZ region. Due to recent project wins we are seeking a motivated and focused Hydraulics Engineer with 3 – 7 years experience to join our Auckland CBD based team.

If you posess current industry experience and can apply engineering solutions to a variety of construction challenges but want to develop your hydraulic skills further, then this could be a great opportunity.

Ideally, we are looking for someone who has confidence in their own abilities with a good understanding of the basic principles of water, gas, sanitary and storm water drainage services (Above and below Ground).

You will undertake work packages, which will include preparation of concept through to detail design documentation, sustainable practices, research, modelling, calculations, specifications and reports.

You will receive in-house project guidance and mentoring to build upon your knowledge base.

Your experience will include:
• Degree or technical qualification with experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of New Zealand hydraulics engineering design standards, codes and practices
• Undertaken and completed building services projects successfully
• Revit 3D and BIM experience
• Able to follow processes and procedures
• Good organisational skills and the ability to communicate/liaise effectively and professionally with all levels of staff, clients and contractors
• Time management skills, setting priorities, planning and organising
• Be proactive in seeking to enhance personal and professional development
• Self-motivated with a positive and friendly attitude
• Apply initiative to resolve tasks or problems that arise
