Minimum Requirements:

B.S. Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering degree with 4+ years of post-college, industry experience within a chemical, foods, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Candidates must have experience with complete design through installation of capital projects with a minimum budget of $50K.

An ideal candidate would have experience working with multi-million dollar capital project budgets. Pluses would be experience with fermentation, FDA/GMP guidelines, process controls programs, power distribution, or Six-Sigma training.

Job Description:

Our client is a world-class leader in the food additives, pharmaceuticals, and specialty chemicals industries. This is a 200-person facility that produces food additives using a fermentation-based process.

The facility itself is a high-profile plant within the larger international company and has its own capital project team to support the extensive investments into the facility.

This person could be working on projects with budgets from $50K, up to $12MM.

Working within the established team, this person will be responsible for the complete design through installation of capital projects, specification of new equipment, selection of materials, overseeing installations, budget tracking, commissioning and start-up.

The parent company is a large, Fortune 2000 company with multiple facilities through the U.S. and overseas. The role will also call for limited travel (10%) to both domestic and overseas plants.

This is a role in which a new person is encouraged to take charge and move up into leadership positions. The company has an established track record for promoting from within. Relocation assistance is available.
