Global Services Consultant

  • Provide a positive relocation experience for each assignee and family
  • Learn and understand assigned clients relocation programs including all policies, processes and practices
  • Serve as single point of coordination for the assignee for the duration of the assignment
  • Communicate changes and modifications with client programs to Operations Managers/Sr. Relocation Manager, VP APAC and all Altair colleagues following established procedures; document in appropriate Altair technology systems as required. With approved clients, effectively communicate with the Client representative on questions with the assignee and family relocation

and assignment activities.

  • Communicate the relocation road map, providing a comprehensive explanation of the relocation

process, policies and practices to the transferee

  • Is knowledgeable about Altair service partners; serve as primary point of coordination between service partners and assignee; includes but not limited to real estate and related industries, transportation and storage companies, lodging and rental car companies and any other non-routine service partner(s) as required by a particular situation
  • Manage all data pertinent to each assignees relocation file; document all relocation activities and transactions into the appropriate Altair te chnology system
  • Understand and manage costs and expenses connected to relocation deliverables, maximizing the full intent of the benefit while minimizing expenses and costs
  • Direct day to day activities for assigned Associate
  • Coordinate transferee home move activities with Altair Move Management
  • Provide backup liaison between Move Management and International Operations transferees to ensure move is accomplished as directed and as scheduled; serve as a second-tier audit point to Move Management in move logistics
  • Coordinate and ensure that Quality Assurance questionnaires are returned by transferees
  • Coordinate with the Financial Specialists to ensure correct, timely and accurate billing of service fees for services performed
  • Prepare monthly international move statistics matrices

Bachelors Degree or
Equivalent combination of experience, skills, training and education


  • Minimum 2 years as a relocation consultant with international assignments experience; prefer GMS certification
  • Ability to perform responsibilities in English and in at least one additional language preferably

Mandarin or Cantonese

  • Good knowledge and understanding of international relocation
  • Working knowledge of various software applications and tools including but not limited to Microsoft Office Products, (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Able to confidently communicate/interface at multiple levels across the Company, with assignees, clients and service partners
  • Adept at interpreting, applying and communicating policies and processes
  • Excellent negotiating and persuasion skills
  • Strong project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Calm under pressure; well developed conflict management and consensus building skills
  • Deadline and time sensitive
  • Cost, expense and budget sensitive
  • Ability to make effective business decisions based on factual information using good, logical decision making skills

The Global Services Consultant must have good knowledge of international relocation as it pertains
to policy interpretation and application, must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects
simultaneously, build client trust through relationship management, manage to deadlines and
budgets and rely on extensive experience and sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals,
demonstrate knowledge of and support Company vision and value statements, policies and
procedures, privacy, security and confidentiality standards and code of ethical behavior.
