You’ll join the Global Mobility and Onboarding team, part of our Talent Acquisition team, focused on supporting recruitment, new starters and DeepMinders on the delivery and optimisation of Global Mobility & Onboarding programmes with support from our external vendor teams.
You should expect to work within a degree of ambiguity as we continually adapt to a growing and evolving business. The team is growing and learning together, adapting alongside the business and people.
There is significant scope for this role to grow over time and as such you’ll need to confidently take ownership of your role and your own personal development. Of course, a collaborative and incredibly helpful team will support you along the way.
Key responsibilities include:
Be an integral part of our Global Mobility and Onboarding team.
Advise recruitment and the wider DeepMind Operations team on immigration, relocation and tax policies and processes.
Support our recruitment team with assessment of immigration cases by partnering with our immigration vendor.
Supporting the administration of global mobility and onboarding programmes.
Continually looking for ways to improve these programmes.
Helping recruitment, candidates and transfers understand our relocation support and with feeling comfortable relocating.
Building close relationships with our vendor teams and optimising the support that they deliver to our stakeholders.
Hosting the New Starter Welcome Programme and delivering presentations to the groups of new starters.
Collaborating with wider DeepMind Operations, Partnering with Alphabet/Google, where needed.
Preparing reports and back-end processing to ensure smooth logistical and operational onboarding experiences.
Supporting the wider People & Culture team’s projects and proactively suggesting ideas for continuous improvement to grow efficiencies.
Support with driving the adoption, communication, training and change management of various initiatives within Global Mobility.
Provide general information, education, and guidance to a wide range of stakeholders regarding requirements for entry to specific countries that are in line with immigration regulations.
Help create content and maintain Global Mobility intranet site which will include but not limited to, process workflows, policy guidelines, and other necessary resources.
You will need to use your previous immigration and global mobility experience and show initiative in order to fully carve out your contribution. To succeed in this role you need to be motivated, compassionate, dependable, self-aware, efficient and your authentic self. You have a can-do attitude and a thirst for learning.
Experience in a similar role
Experience of UK Points Based System (PBS) applications and or consulting on UK immigration routes and policy
