You will support end-to-end logistics (physical flows from plants to customers), including all warehouse, transport and co-packing operations, in terms of service, cost, health and safety, quality, food defense, sustainability, legal requirements and policies compliance. You will provide team leadership and direction for the logistics organization. In this role, you will implement logistics strategy and effectively execute operations to ensure optimum logistics solutions while supporting various routes-to-market, and balancing service and cost. You will work collaboratively with internal and external (third-party logistics vendors) business partners to ensure effective management, timely solutions and execution.

How you will contribute

You will:

  • Be accountable for warehouse, transportation, international logistics (import/export) and co-packing operations
  • Ensure the implementation of the business plan by delivering a consistent service level, adapting the supply chain to the demanding and changing customer environment and ensuring sufficient operational capacity to deliver business needs
  • Be accountable for delivering logistics operational cost budget, ensuring that best-in-class controls and governance are in place
  • Foster, initiate and lead continuous improvement programs that reduce cost and our carbon footprint and improve the service performance of the operation
  • Ensure successful project implementation
  • Select, manage and develop long-term relationships with third-party service providers
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety, quality, food defense and legal requirements and policies
  • Establish a business continuity plan for logistics operations.
  • Support best-practices sharing and adoption

Job Scope

Overall, the main purposes of the role are team leadership, direction, and responsibility for managing the Finish Goods and Raw&Pack materials physical flows from/to plants and customers, including all warehouse, transport and co packing operations, in term of service, cost, productivity, health and safety, quality, food defense, sustainability, legal requirements and policies compliance.

  • The Country Logistics Operations Manager leads the Logistics Operations in Turkey creating a team environment that fosters Mondelez International values, where agreed objectives and goals are achieved and individuals are developed and encouraged to reach their full potential, ensuring the understanding and accomplishment of the legal and ethical compliance responsibilities of their jobs
  • Develop, monitor and control the operational cost budgets, ensuring costs regular review where variances are: investigated, corrected and reported, with a deep understanding of all supply chain drivers and overall financial acumen, having in place best in class controls and reporting functionalities.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of the commercial plan by delivering strong support to the big bets of the company. Deliver a consistent customer service level, adapting the supply chain to the demanding and changing customer environment.
  • Support and contribute to the success of both the Country Turkey CS&L and EE Area logistics operations leadership teams, contributing to the strategic development and growth of both functions. Lead the implementation of agreed EEU wide projects and programs in Country and lead some EEU and Country initiatives, programs and projects .
  • Deliver continues improvement and productivity according to agreed cost reduction, revenue and quality improvement in structured and sustainable way.

Qualifications

  • University degree level, preferably on Engineering
  • 8-10 years leadership and managerial positions in Operations, FMCG environment is advantage
  • Leadership, management and development of an experienced and senior team within a complex and demanding operational environment
  • Ability to lead, manage, develop and motivate individuals and teams
  • Strong negotiating skills with ability to negotiate in tough situations with both internal and external groups
  • Fluent in English both in written and spoken
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a diverse environment with capability to influence senior stakeholders and facilitate rapid decision making in complex situations
  • Effective decision making based upon a mixture of analysis, experience, and judgment
  • Strong strategic vision in order to align the different parties on a common path and to balance short-term business needs with longer term strategic goals
  • Drive for results with proactive, dynamic and action orientated approach, identifying areas where business change is required and and excellence in project management
  • Strong collaboration skills, with strong business and financial acumen and the ability to forge senior level partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders
